Job Description

The Project Engineer (Marine) is responsible for overseeing marine engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budget, and timeline requirements. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of marine construction, vessel operations, and offshore engineering principles.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute marine engineering projects, ensuring all phases are completed efficiently.

  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure smooth execution.

  • Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

  • Collaborate with naval architects, marine surveyors, and contractors to optimize project design and implementation.

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and feasibility.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and repair of marine structures, vessels, and offshore platforms.

  • Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders.

  • Identify potential technical challenges and provide solutions to minimize project risks.

  • Ensure adherence to international marine standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment required for marine engineering projects.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marine engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in marine construction, offshore projects, or shipbuilding.

  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations, classification standards, and safety guidelines.

  • Proficiency in project management tools, CAD software, and engineering analysis tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in challenging marine environments.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to travel to offshore and on-site locations as required.

  • Professional certifications in marine engineering or project management are a plus.
