Power Supply Engineer

The Power Supply Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical power systems, ensuring reliability and compliance with UAE standards. This position plays a critical role in power distribution planning, energy efficiency, and technical troubleshooting across infrastructure and utility projects. The candidate will work in a dynamic engineering environment that emphasizes sustainability, safety, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing power supply systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

• Conducting load calculations, fault analysis, and system stability studies to ensure optimal performance.

• Supervising installation, testing, and commissioning of transformers, switchgear, and power distribution networks.

• Monitoring system operations and implementing upgrades or preventive maintenance schedules.

• Ensuring all engineering activities align with UAE regulations and DEWA/ADWEA requirements.

• Preparing technical documentation, project reports, and specifications.

• Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and utility authorities for project approvals and permits.

• Investigating and resolving electrical faults or interruptions in power supply.

• Supporting energy efficiency initiatives and integrating renewable energy systems where applicable.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in power supply design and infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes, utility standards, and grid connection procedures.

• Proficiency in software tools.

• Familiarity with SCADA systems and smart grid technologies is an advantage.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across engineering teams.

• UAE driving license is preferred for site visits and inspections.
