Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with various tasks and providing excellent service to patients. Duties include preparing medications, maintaining inventory, processing prescriptions, handling insurance claims, and assisting customers with inquiries. The Pharmacy Assistant must have strong communication skills, be familiar with pharmacy terminology and procedures, and adhere to all healthcare regulations. This role requires a high level of accuracy, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately
• Manage inventory, stock shelves, and order supplies as needed
• Process prescription orders and provide excellent customer service
• Answer telephone inquiries and direct calls to appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment
• Handle financial transactions and insurance claims
• Provide support in the compounding and labeling of medications
• Manage patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Assist with medication therapy management programs
• Help with medication packaging and labeling for patients

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a pharmacy assistant certificate program
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and calculations
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
