Job Description
The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescription medications and providing consultation on the proper use and potential side effects of medications. This role involves verifying prescriptions, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Pharmacist must have strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications to patients.
- Ensure accuracy in verifying prescriptions and dosage instructions.
- Provide consultation on the proper use and potential side effects of medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication inventory.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address patient needs.
- Stay up-to-date with new medications and their interactions.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Manage and oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or a related field.
- State pharmacy license.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medication interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
