Job Description

As a Penetration Testing Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and conducting security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications. This role involves leading a team of penetration testers to perform ethical hacking activities to simulate real-world cyber attacks and provide recommendations for remediation. The Penetration Testing Lead plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall security posture of the organization by proactively identifying and addressing security weaknesses. Additionally, you will be required to develop testing methodologies, analyze test results, and communicate findings to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of common security vulnerabilities, hands-on experience with penetration testing tools, and strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team. Proficiency in ethical hacking techniques and relevant certifications such as CEH or OSCP are highly desirable.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute penetration tests on various systems, networks, and applications.
  • Lead a team of penetration testers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Develop and maintain the organization's penetration testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Analyze and interpret results from penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure appropriate security controls are in place to protect against cybersecurity threats.
  • Stay current on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities to continuously improve penetration testing strategies.
  • Create detailed reports documenting findings, risks, and recommendations for all penetration testing activities.
  • Conduct post-exploitation activities to validate the effectiveness of remediation efforts.
  • Coordinate with incident response teams on potential security incidents discovered during penetration testing.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions to educate staff on cybersecurity best practices and the importance of penetration testing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on penetration testing.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, systems architecture, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively lead a team of penetration testers.
