Job Description

A Patient Coordinator plays a crucial role in healthcare facilities by serving as the primary point of contact between patients, medical staff, and administrative teams. This role ensures a smooth patient experience by managing appointments, handling medical records, coordinating treatments, and addressing patient inquiries. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for ensuring that patients receive timely and quality care.


Responsibilities:

  • schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring efficient time allocation for consultations and treatments

  • greet patients, assist with check-ins, and provide information on hospital or clinic procedures

  • coordinate between patients, doctors, and other medical staff to ensure smooth treatment workflows

  • handle patient inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide guidance on available medical services

  • maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations

  • assist patients with insurance verification and billing-related questions

  • manage follow-up appointments and remind patients about upcoming visits or tests

  • support doctors and nurses by preparing patient files and ensuring necessary documents are available

  • educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care instructions

  • ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients and visitors


Requirements:

  • bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred

  • minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a hospital, clinic, or healthcare facility

  • strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures

  • excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of diverse backgrounds

  • proficiency in healthcare software and patient management systems

  • knowledge of insurance policies and medical billing processes is a plus

  • ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion

  • fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is an advantage

  • customer service-oriented mindset with a compassionate approach to patient care
