Paint Technician

A Paint Technician is responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other coatings to various surfaces, including walls, furniture, vehicles, and appliances. They must have a keen eye for detail and be skilled in color mixing and matching. Other duties may include preparing surfaces for painting, repairing damage, and keeping a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint, varnish, and coatings to surfaces
• Prepare surfaces for painting
• Mix paints and coatings to the desired color and consistency.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
• Monitor and control environmental conditions to optimize paint application and drying.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects or imperfections and make necessary corrections.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with health and environmental regulations.
• Repair damage as needed

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Paint Technician or similar role
• Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
• Ability to mix and match colors accurately
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently
• Strong communication and organizational skills
