Job Description
The Packing Supervisor oversees the packing and shipping processes within a warehouse or distribution center. They ensure that orders are accurately packed, labeled, and shipped on time. The Packing Supervisor also manages a team of packers, assigns tasks, and ensures adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the packing and shipping activities.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling of orders.
- Supervise a team of packers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Implement and enforce safety guidelines and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of packing supplies.
- Collaborate with other warehouse teams to optimize logistics and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure that products are packed according to specifications.
- Generate and maintain accurate packing and shipping records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in packing or warehouse supervision.
- Knowledge of packing techniques and materials.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
