Package Coordinator

The Package Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely shipment of packages within a company. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure packages are correctly labeled, packed, and shipped according to company guidelines and customer specifications. The Package Coordinator is also responsible for tracking shipments, updating records, and resolving any issues that may arise during the shipping process. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role. The Package Coordinator must also have good communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external vendors. Prior experience in logistics or shipping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure timely packaging and shipment of products.
• Manage inventory of packaging materials and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Create and maintain packaging specifications and guidelines for different product lines.
• Oversee the packaging process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers to source cost-effective packaging materials.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to schedule and track shipments to meet delivery deadlines.
• Conduct regular inspections of packaging materials and equipment to identify and address any issues.
• Train and supervise packaging team members to ensure efficient and safe handling of products.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations in the packaging area.
• Continuously evaluate and improve packaging processes to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in logistics or package handling preferred
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
