Job Description

The Operations Manager - Logistics is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain and logistics operations of the company. This role involves ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods while maintaining high standards of efficiency and compliance. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in logistics management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to implement strategies that enhance operational performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.

  • Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, warehouses, and transportation providers.

  • Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock control and timely replenishment.

  • Negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with freight carriers, vendors, and logistics partners.

  • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

  • Utilize data analytics and logistics software to track shipments, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Lead and mentor logistics teams, ensuring continuous training and development of staff.

  • Identify and resolve operational issues, minimizing delays and disruptions in the supply chain.

  • Prepare reports and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management for decision-making.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in logistics management, supply chain operations, or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping procedures, and customs compliance.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies for operational improvement.
