Operations Manager (Car Rental)

The Operations Manager (Car Rental) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of a car rental business, ensuring smooth fleet management, excellent customer service, and adherence to company standards. Based in the UAE, the role involves leading branch teams, managing vehicle logistics, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational efficiency to meet performance and profitability targets. This position requires strong leadership, industry knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising the daily operations across rental branches, ensuring consistent service quality and operational effectiveness.

• Managing fleet availability, maintenance scheduling, and vehicle turnaround time to optimize utilization.

• Coordinating with sales, customer service, and maintenance teams to streamline the rental process and improve customer satisfaction.

• Monitoring performance metrics, branch revenues, and cost controls, and implementing improvements as needed.

• Ensuring adherence to UAE traffic regulations, insurance policies, and rental agreements.

• Developing operational policies and training programs to enhance staff performance and service standards.

• Handling escalated customer issues and complaints to maintain service excellence.

• Collaborating with senior management on strategic initiatives and expansion planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

• 5–7 years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in the UAE car rental or automotive sector.

• Strong understanding of fleet operations, rental agreements, and UAE traffic and vehicle registration regulations.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in fleet management software and MS Office tools.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.

• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
