Job Description
The Online Merchandiser is responsible for managing the online product catalog and ensuring that products are effectively presented to customers. This role involves managing product information, optimizing search and navigation, and analyzing sales data to drive conversion and improve the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage the online product catalog, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product information.
- Optimize product listings for search engine visibility and customer engagement.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize sales and conversion rates.
- Analyze sales data and customer behavior to identify trends and make data-driven merchandising decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to launch new products and promotions.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends, identifying opportunities for product assortment improvements.
- Conduct regular website audits to ensure the accuracy and consistency of product information and presentation.
- Stay up-to-date with e-commerce best practices and emerging trends in online merchandising.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, e-commerce, or a related field.
- Proven experience in online merchandising or a related role, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and tools, with experience in managing product catalogs.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze sales data and customer behavior to drive merchandising decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
