Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Oncology Nurse to join our team and provide compassionate care to cancer patients. As an Oncology Nurse, you will be responsible for administering chemotherapy treatments, monitoring patients for side effects, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective patient care plans. You will also provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the cancer treatment process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping those battling cancer. Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and provide direct patient care for individuals with various forms of cancer.
  • Administer chemotherapy treatments and other medications as prescribed by oncologists.
  • Monitor patients for side effects and complications related to cancer treatments.
  • Educate patients and their families about disease processes, treatment options, and symptom management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assist with procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and central line care.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families throughout the cancer journey.
  • Document patient care activities and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Stay current on advancements in oncology treatments and supportive care strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects related to cancer care.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in oncology nursing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
