Offshore ROV PT

An Offshore ROV Pilot Technician (ROV PT) operates and maintains remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for underwater inspections and operations in the offshore industry. ROV PTs are responsible for piloting the ROV, performing maintenance and repairs, and ensuring safe and efficient operations. They work closely with offshore teams to conduct inspections, collect data, and support underwater construction or repair projects. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in challenging underwater environments.

Responsibilities

• Pilot ROVs underwater to perform inspections and operations.
• Monitor ROV systems and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Conduct maintenance and repairs on ROVs and related equipment.
• Collect data and capture video or photographic footage using the ROV.
• Assist with offshore construction or repair projects.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to plan and execute ROV operations.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures for underwater operations.
• Keep accurate records of ROV operations, inspections, and maintenance.
• Maintain an inventory of ROV supplies and spare parts.
• Stay updated with advances in ROV technology and techniques.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal ROV training program or certification.
• Previous experience as an ROV Pilot Technician in the offshore industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of ROV systems and underwater operations.
• Ability to work in remote or challenging locations for extended periods.
