Job Description

As an NDT Inspector, you will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing on materials and components to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Your main duties will include conducting inspections using various methods such as visual testing, ultrasonic testing, radiography, magnetic particle testing, and eddy current testing. You will interpret and evaluate test results, prepare detailed inspection reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, and work closely with other team members to maintain a high level of quality control throughout the inspection process. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of NDT techniques and procedures. A relevant certification in NDT inspection is required for this role, and previous experience in a similar position would be advantageous. Responsibilities

  • Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections on materials, components, and structures following industry standards and testing procedures.
  • Interpret and evaluate NDT results to determine the presence of defects, discontinuities, or anomalies.
  • Generate detailed reports documenting inspection findings, including relevant measurements, observations, and recommendations.
  • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing results.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to plan and execute inspection activities according to project requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment during NDT inspections.
  • Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory updates related to NDT techniques and practices.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior NDT inspectors to improve their skills and knowledge in the field.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to provide updates on inspection progress and results.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality in NDT inspection processes.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Certification in non-destructive testing methods (e.g. ASNT Level II)
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
  • Proficiency in using NDT equipment and tools
  • Ability to interpret and analyze test results accurately
