Merchandiser

A Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that products appear in the right store, at the right time, and in the right quantities. This role is essential in maximizing sales and profitability by monitoring product stock levels, analyzing customer preferences, and implementing effective visual merchandising strategies. Merchandisers work closely with buyers, suppliers, and store teams to forecast trends, plan promotions, and manage inventory. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, market awareness, and an eye for detail and design.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and develop merchandising strategies that align with company goals.

• Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, and store teams to forecast demand and product availability.

• Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to optimize product placement.

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to replenish inventory as needed.

• Ensure appealing product presentation and in-store displays to attract customers.

• Plan and execute in-store promotions and seasonal campaigns.

• Track competitor activity and pricing strategies.

• Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

• Previous experience as a merchandiser or in a similar retail role.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising software/tools.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Good organizational and time-management abilities.

• Creative flair and understanding of visual merchandising principles.

• Willingness to travel to store locations if required.
