Job Description

As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and implementing merchandising strategies that drive product sales and profitability. Your role will involve analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to make informed decisions on product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and maintain optimal inventory levels. Additionally, you will monitor competitor activities and conduct regular store visits to assess product displays and customer experience. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for retail. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is typically required for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies to drive sales and meet company objectives.
  • Analyze sales trends and historical data to make informed decisions on product selection and allocation.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product development, and operations to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies.
  • Maintain visual displays and store layouts to maximize product visibility and customer engagement.
  • Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment or markdowns as needed.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising performance and gather feedback from store associates and customers.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to make recommendations for product assortment and pricing.
  • Prepare and present merchandising reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Train and mentor junior merchandising staff to ensure alignment with company standards and goals.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Design, or related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
