MEP Technician

A MEP Technician, or Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Technician, is responsible for conducting maintenance, repairs, and installations of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The role requires a strong understanding of building systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate should have experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving within MEP systems while adhering to industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Diagnose and repair issues within MEP systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Install new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them promptly.
• Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on MEP systems.
• Provide technical support to building occupants regarding MEP systems.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in MEP technology.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in MEP systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience working in maintenance or construction with MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to MEP systems.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
