The MEP Engineer will be responsible for overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. They will coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained to meet project requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of MEP systems, be detail-oriented, and possess excellent project management skills.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with architects and contractors to design and plan MEP systems for construction projects.
Review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans to ensure compliance with building regulations and project specifications.
Coordinate with vendors to procure MEP equipment and materials.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
Conduct regular inspections of MEP systems to identify any issues or potential risks.
Troubleshoot and resolve MEP system problems, coordinating with relevant parties as needed.
Monitor and track MEP project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all MEP activities.
Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and other stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in MEP systems.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering or a related field.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
Proficient in relevant software and design tools.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Professional engineering license preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering or a related field.
