Medical Coder

As a Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to accurately assign codes to diagnoses and procedures. You will play a key role in ensuring that healthcare providers receive proper reimbursement for services provided.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing medical records and assigning appropriate codes
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines
• Communicating with healthcare providers to clarify information
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and information security
• Updating coding databases and software

Candidate Requirements

• Certification as a CPC, CCS, or RHIT
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
