Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in A/C systems at our Electromechanical company, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of air conditioning systems across various projects. Your expertise will ensure that all HVAC systems are efficient, reliable, and meet both client and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and Engineering:


Develop designs for A/C systems, including cooling load calculations, ductwork layouts, and equipment selection.

Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications.

Conduct thermal and airflow simulations to optimize system performance.

Project Management:


Oversee the A/C components of electromechanical projects from initial concept through to final handover.

Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the integration of A/C systems within the overall project design.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Installation and Supervision:


Supervise the installation of A/C systems on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of A/C systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation or operation of A/C systems.

Maintenance and Optimization:


Develop and implement maintenance schedules for A/C systems to ensure their longevity and efficiency.

Evaluate existing A/C systems and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance performance.

Provide technical support and training to maintenance teams and end-users.

Compliance and Standards:


Ensure all A/C designs and installations adhere to local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Keep updated with the latest advancements in HVAC technology and best practices.

Client Interaction:


Work closely with clients to understand their A/C system requirements and provide tailored solutions.

Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation to clients and project stakeholders.


Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and managing A/C systems, preferably within the electromechanical or HVAC industry.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, AutoCAD, Revit) and load calculation tools.

In-depth knowledge of various A/C systems, including split units, VRF systems, chillers, and ducted systems.

Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE related to HVAC systems.

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Language: Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.

Experience: Previous experience working in the UAE is preferred.
