Mechanical Draftsman

The Mechanical Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical systems and equipment. They work closely with engineers and other team members to develop accurate and precise designs that meet project specifications. The draftsman must have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be proficient in AutoCAD and other design software.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings and plans for mechanical systems
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop design concepts
• Ensure all drawings and plans meet project specifications and requirements
• Coordinate with engineers and architects on project requirements.
• Revise and update drawings as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Conduct site visits to gather relevant information.
• Revise drawings as necessary based on feedback and changes
• Maintain accurate records of all drawings and plans

Candidate Requirements

• Associate degree in drafting or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Effective communication skills
