Materials Controller

We are looking for an experienced Materials Controller to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory, procurement, and distribution of materials needed for various projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate material requirements efficiently, ensuring timely availability and cost-effective management of resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials for ongoing projects

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels to meet project needs

• Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to forecast material requirements

• Monitor and track the movement of materials in and out of the warehouse

• Ensure materials are stored in compliance with safety and regulatory standards

• Inspect materials for quality and ensure they meet project specifications

• Develop and implement processes to minimize material wastage and reduce costs

• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials

• Prepare and maintain material reports, including stock levels, consumption, and reorder schedules

• Manage the return of unused materials and track discrepancies in material usage

  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field

• 2–4 years of experience in materials control, inventory management, or logistics

• Strong understanding of inventory management systems and best practices

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with material handling equipment and safety protocols

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with vendors and suppliers

• Knowledge of procurement processes and construction/materials specifications is a plus

• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
