Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager Data Protection to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data protection strategies and policies to ensure compliance with regulations and to safeguard sensitive information. Key responsibilities include overseeing data privacy impact assessments, managing data breach incidents, and providing guidance on data protection laws and best practices. The Manager Data Protection will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data security protocols and monitor compliance with data protection policies. The successful candidate must have a strong background in data protection, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and influence others. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, along with demonstrated experience in managing data protection programs. Join our team and help us protect our valuable data assets.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in data protection measures.
  • Oversee the implementation of data protection controls, including encryption, access controls, and data masking.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on data protection best practices and protocols.
  • Monitor and investigate data breaches, and implement response plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure data protection is integrated into various business processes and systems.
  • Stay current on data protection laws and regulations, and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, such as legal counsel and regulatory agencies, in matters related to data protection.
  • Lead and support data protection initiatives, such as privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with data subject rights requests, such as requests for access, rectification, and erasure of personal data.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification in data protection compliance, such as CIPP/E or CIPT.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data protection or privacy role.
  • Strong understanding of relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certification in data protection compliance, such as CIPP/E or CIPT.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data protection or privacy role.
  • Strong understanding of relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
