Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor, who will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, ensuring they are in excellent condition and provide a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment for visitors, tenants, and employees. You will lead a team of maintenance staff, coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of all building systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring their work aligns with mall maintenance objectives.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Plan and schedule regular maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections for various building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
• Oversee the proper functioning of elevators, escalators, lighting, security systems, fire safety systems, and other mall facilities.
• Conduct routine checks to identify any maintenance issues and address them promptly.
• Implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure all equipment and systems are regularly serviced to prevent breakdowns and ensure their longevity.
• Develop and execute emergency response protocols, including addressing urgent repairs and ensuring the safety of visitors and occupants during emergencies.
• Assist in preparing the maintenance budget, monitoring expenses, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to source materials, schedule repairs, and manage maintenance contracts.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and building codes, conducting regular audits to verify adherence.
• Generate regular maintenance reports, documenting work completed, ongoing projects, and potential issues to be addressed.
• Address maintenance-related concerns and inquiries from tenants and visitors promptly to ensure a positive mall experience.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within a shopping mall or large commercial complex.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, equipment, and facilities maintenance.
• Leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse maintenance team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication skills to interact with tenants, vendors, and management.
• Knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including maintenance management software.
• Flexibility to work on-call and handle emergencies outside regular working hours.
