Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the supply chain operations of an organization. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to customers while maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in tracking shipments, managing inventory, coordinating with vendors and transport providers, and resolving logistical issues. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods.

  • Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies to arrange shipments and deliveries.

  • Track shipments and update relevant parties on delivery statuses.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics transactions.

  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.

  • Work closely with warehouse and transportation teams to optimize efficiency.

  • Manage logistics costs by negotiating rates with carriers and seeking cost-effective solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.

  • Address and resolve shipping delays, damages, or discrepancies.

  • Use logistics software and tracking systems to streamline operations and maintain data accuracy.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.

  • Strong understanding of logistics procedures, shipping regulations, and inventory control.

  • Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Office, and database management.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to coordinate with suppliers and transporters.

  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures is a plus.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting logistics challenges.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if required.
