Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations within a company's supply chain. This role involves coordinating and managing various logistical tasks, such as transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all logistical activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner, while also maintaining high quality standards. They must have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule shipments and deliveries.
  • Track and monitor the movement of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels and records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement and warehouse, to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Communicate with suppliers, customers, and transportation providers to resolve any logistical issues.
  • Optimize transportation routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Prepare and analyze logistics reports to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers and carriers.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in logistics management.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in using logistics management software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations is preferred.
