Job Description

As a Logistics Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the logistics industry and developing strategies to drive growth and increase revenue. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, understanding their logistics needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs. You will lead the sales process from prospecting and generating leads to negotiating contracts and closing deals. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of services and high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, proven sales skills, and a strategic mindset to drive business development initiatives successfully.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets for logistics services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and building relationships with potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create customized logistics solutions that meet clients' needs and requirements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare and present proposals, bids, and presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure new business and maximize profitability.
  • Manage and enhance relationships with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, trends, and developments to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote services and expand network within the logistics industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or business development.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
