Job Description
The Loan Processor is responsible for processing and managing loan applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. They gather and verify borrower information, assess creditworthiness, and prepare loan documentation. The Loan Processor also communicates with borrowers and coordinates with other stakeholders to facilitate the loan process.
Responsibilities
- Collect and verify borrower's financial information, income, and employment details.
- Assess borrower's creditworthiness and review credit reports.
- Prepare loan documents and ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to gather additional information.
- Communicate with borrowers to request missing information or clarify requirements.
- Perform data entry and maintain loan files and documentation.
- Monitor loan status and ensure prompt and accurate loan closing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant loan processing certifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of loan processing procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex financial information.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using loan processing software and tools.
