Lighting sales engineer

The Lighting Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling lighting products and solutions to clients. They will collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to provide lighting design recommendations, technical support, and pricing information. This role requires strong technical knowledge of lighting systems, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities for lighting products and solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to understand client needs and provide lighting design recommendations.
• Create and deliver presentations and proposals to clients, highlighting the features and benefits of lighting products.
• Provide technical support and assistance to clients during the sales process.
• Prepare pricing information, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new lighting technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as product development and marketing, to ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings.
• Attend industry conferences and trade shows to promote lighting products and build relationships with potential clients.
• Track and analyze sales data to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide ongoing customer support and maintain relationships with clients.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the lighting industry.
• Strong knowledge of lighting systems, products, and design principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work well independently and collaboratively.
