Lifeguard

As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and patrons at the pool or beach. Your primary duties will include monitoring water activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding quickly to emergencies such as drowning or other injuries. You will need to be a strong swimmer with excellent physical fitness and endurance to perform rescues when necessary. Additionally, you will need to provide customer service by answering questions, offering assistance, and maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times. Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential in this role. Prior lifeguard certification and experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals in the designated swimming area.
• Enforce all rules and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Monitor swimmers and provide assistance or intervention when necessary.
• Administer first aid and CPR in emergency situations.
• Perform water rescues and safely remove individuals from the water as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized pool deck and surrounding area.
• Conduct regular inspections of the pool facilities and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patrons and colleagues to provide information and guidance.
• Attend regular training sessions to stay up-to-date on safety protocols and procedures.
• Keep accurate records of incidents, treatments, and observations for reporting purposes.

• Must be a certified lifeguard through a recognized training program.
• Strong swimming abilities and knowledge of water safety protocols.
