Lead Electrical Designer

As a Lead Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of electrical systems for various projects. You will lead a team of electrical designers and engineers, guiding them through the design process, reviewing their work, and providing technical expertise. Your role will involve collaborating with other departments to ensure that electrical designs meet project requirements and comply with regulations and standards. Additionally, you will be involved in preparing drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for electrical installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical design projects from conception to completion.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD or other design software.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure project requirements are met.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior electrical designers and drafters.
• Review and approve electrical design documentation for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and identify potential design issues.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate electrical design with overall project requirements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
• Ensure that electrical designs meet safety and quality standards set by relevant regulatory bodies.
• Support project estimation and budgeting by providing input on electrical design requirements and resources.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
