Job Description: Laser Technician

Laser technicians must thoroughly understand how lasers work and how to properly operate, assemble, test, recalibrate, and repair laser devices. They have to ensure that all tools and machines are appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain laser systems according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Perform laser alignments and calibrations to ensure accurate and precise results.
• Monitor and adjust laser settings to achieve desired outcomes for laser treatments.
• Ensure proper safety protocols are followed during laser procedures.
• Assist in training and educating staff on laser safety and operation.
• Keep accurate records of all laser treatments and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot any issues with laser equipment as needed.
• Stay current on industry trends and advancements in laser technology.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop treatment plans using laser therapy.

Candidate Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate in laser technology preferred.
• Proven experience working with medical or cosmetic lasers.
• Strong understanding of laser physics and principles.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of laser systems.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to laser technology.
• Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment as required.
• Certification in laser safety is a plus.
