Job Description

The L1 Technical Support is responsible for providing prompt and efficient technical assistance to end-users. They must resolve hardware, software, and network issues to ensure the uninterrupted operation of computer systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or chat.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and other devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and resolve network-related issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support teams, if necessary.
  • Follow standard procedures for proper recording and tracking of support requests.
  • Offer guidance and training to end-users on the effective use of technology.
  • Test and evaluate new software and hardware solutions.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Ensure adherence to data security and privacy policies.
  • Diploma or degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical support or a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
