We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef specializing in Pastry to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment with a focus on pastry preparation and execution. Responsibilities include assisting in creating and executing pastry menus, supervising pastry team members, ensuring quality and consistency of all pastry items, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen. The Junior Sous Chef - Pastry will work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop new recipes, manage inventory, and uphold food safety standards. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Pastry Chef in creating and preparing high-quality pastries and desserts.
  • Help with the planning and implementation of pastry menu items.
  • Oversee and participate in the production and presentation of pastries in accordance with recipes and standards.
  • Train and supervise pastry team members, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate ordering needs to management.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, following hygiene regulations.
  • Assist in developing new pastry recipes and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Ensure that all pastries are prepared and presented to meet quality standards.
  • Contribute to menu planning and creative dessert options for special events or promotions.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a pastry kitchen or related culinary environment.
  • Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution.
  • Strong foundation in pastry techniques and baking principles.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaboratively with a team.
