Junior Legal Associate

The Junior Legal Associate supports the legal department or law firm by assisting with legal research, drafting documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build experience in corporate, civil, or commercial law within the UAE. The associate will work under the supervision of senior legal professionals, gaining exposure to local legislation, court procedures, and client advisory work.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting legal research and analysis on UAE laws, regulations, and case precedents to support ongoing matters.

• Drafting and reviewing contracts, legal opinions, memos, and correspondence under senior supervision.

• Assisting in preparing legal documents for corporate filings, litigation, or regulatory submissions.

• Supporting senior associates and partners in case preparation, due diligence, and negotiations.

• Maintaining legal records, case files, and contract databases in an organized and secure manner.

• Liaising with government entities and free zone authorities for legal clearances or licensing matters.

• Monitoring updates in UAE laws and notifying the team of changes relevant to practice areas.

• Ensuring all legal work is carried out in compliance with UAE regulations and ethical standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited university.

• 1–2 years of legal experience, ideally within a UAE-based law firm or in-house legal department.

• Strong knowledge of UAE legal systems, corporate laws, and regulatory frameworks.

• Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure.
