Joinery Detailer

At Geometry Home Furniture Manufacturing LLC, the Joinery Detailer is responsible for producing precise and comprehensive technical drawings and detailed joinery plans. This role requires a strong understanding of furniture design and joinery techniques, as well as coordination with the design, production, and installation teams. The Joinery Detailer ensures that all designs are efficiently translated into production drawings, meeting project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed joinery drawings and technical specifications for custom furniture and interior fit-outs.
• Translate conceptual designs and sketches into production-ready drawings.
• Liaise with the design team, project managers, and production teams to ensure accurate information flow.
• Review architectural and design plans to identify any joinery requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with Geometry Home’s standards, quality control processes, and industry regulations.
• Conduct site visits to gather measurements, assess requirements, and address any technical queries.
• Collaborate with production and installation teams to resolve any discrepancies or challenges during the manufacturing process.
• Maintain updated drawing records and project documentation for future reference.
• Assist in developing joinery schedules and material lists for production.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software.
• Strong understanding of joinery methods, furniture manufacturing, and materials.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a joinery detailing role, preferably within the furniture manufacturing industry.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience in custom furniture and high-end joinery detailing.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to joinery work.
