Job Description

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex technology projects from inception to completion. Your role will involve coordinating project teams, defining project objectives, ensuring project timelines are met, and delivering on quality within budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project success. Key responsibilities include developing project plans, managing resources, tracking project progress, and communicating project status to stakeholders. A successful IT Project Manager will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within scope. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide project updates, and address issues and concerns.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and outcomes.
  • Lead project team meetings, provide direction and support to team members, and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on project status to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Manage project budget and resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization and cost control.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices, methodologies, and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned sessions to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project performance, identify areas for improvement, and capture lessons learned for future projects.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to inform project planning and decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing IT projects, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of software development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
