IT Operations Manager

An IT Operations Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of an organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures that all IT systems, services, and networks run smoothly, securely, and efficiently. The IT Operations Manager leads a team of IT professionals, coordinates projects, and aligns IT services with the company’s goals. They are responsible for maintaining high system availability, managing IT support, and implementing technology upgrades. This position requires strong leadership, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of IT systems, including servers, networks, and cloud environments

• Lead and mentor IT support staff to ensure high performance and continuous improvement

• Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures

• Coordinate with other departments to understand and meet their IT requirements

• Oversee IT service management, including incident, problem, and change management

• Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place and effective

• Manage vendor relationships, software licensing, and technology procurement

• Prepare and manage the IT operations budget

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

• Proven experience in IT operations or infrastructure management

• Strong knowledge of network, server, and storage systems

• Experience with ITIL framework and service management best practices

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities

• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements

• Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
