IT Network and Programing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IT Networking and Programing professional to manage and maintain the computer systems, network infrastructure, and IT equipment for our sim racing venue. This role involves ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of the network to support the venue’s operations and high-end racing simulators. You will also be responsible for writing and maintaining scripts to automate tasks, manage configurations, and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Management & Troubleshooting: Analyze, design, and manage the venue's local area network (LAN), ensuring seamless connectivity for racing simulators, admin systems, and other peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve any network issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Hardware & Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals, including racing simulators.
• Security & Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and antivirus solutions. Monitor network performance and optimize for smooth operation during high-traffic events.
• Scripting & Automation: Develop, maintain, and run scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate network tasks, manage configurations, monitor systems, and enhance overall network efficiency.
• End-User Support: Provide technical support to staff and customers, troubleshooting any issues related to connectivity, software, or hardware.
• System Maintenance & Upgrades: Regularly update, test, and maintain the venue's IT infrastructure, ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally. Replace or repair faulty equipment as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of the network architecture, hardware inventory, configurations, scripts, and any troubleshooting steps taken.
• Sim Racing Equipment Integration: Assist in integrating the racing simulators with the network and troubleshoot any connectivity or software issues to ensure uninterrupted racing experiences.

• Strong Networking Knowledge: Experience with LAN/WAN setup, network protocols, routers, switches, and firewall configurations.
• Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating tasks and managing configurations.
• Troubleshooting Expertise: Ability to quickly identify and resolve hardware/software/network issues.
• Security Skills: Familiarity with network security protocols, encryption, and secure access control.
• Hardware Maintenance: Proficient in maintaining and repairing IT equipment such as PCs and racing simulators.
• Customer Support: Excellent communication skills to provide technical support to staff and customers.
