The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the storage, distribution, and control of a company's inventory. This role ensures that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels, minimizing waste and preventing shortages or overstocking. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory tracking systems, and demand forecasting. The Inventory Manager works closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations and efficiency.
Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability to meet business and customer demands.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
Optimize inventory turnover rates by analyzing sales trends, demand forecasting, and adjusting stock levels accordingly.
Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Minimize inventory discrepancies by identifying and addressing issues such as stock shortages, overages, and damages.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including stock movements, adjustments, and returns.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of inventory.
Implement cost-saving measures by reducing excess inventory and improving supply chain efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles.
Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques, demand planning, and stock optimization.
Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to handle inventory challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and logistics.
Experience in conducting inventory audits and implementing corrective actions.
Knowledge of industry best practices and compliance with inventory regulations.
