As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining optimal levels of inventory within a company. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure proper stock rotation and prevent overstock or stockouts.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory variances and investigate discrepancies to identify root causes.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to optimize inventory management processes.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, including stock levels, turnover rates, and aging stock.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate action, such as markdowns or liquidation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and plan for seasonal fluctuations in demand.
  • Utilize inventory management software to streamline processes and maintain data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control policies and procedures to uphold inventory integrity and financial accountability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Proven experience working in inventory management or related field
  • Strong understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
