Job Description

As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the claims process, ensuring accurate and timely claim handling, and providing guidance to the claims team. You will work closely with clients, insurance agents, and other stakeholders to resolve claims efficiently and effectively. Additionally, you will analyze claim data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improving claim management processes.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire claims process, from initial filing to final settlement.
  • Review and evaluate new claims to determine coverage and liability.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary claim information.
  • Provide guidance and support to the claims team in handling complex or escalated claims.
  • Analyze claim data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve claims management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct claim audits and quality assurance reviews to maintain standards.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes with policyholders, third parties, and legal representatives.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in claims management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience in claims management or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and claim handling procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in claim management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Professional certifications such as AIC or CPCU are preferred.
