Infection Control Manager

As an Infection Control Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining infection control programs and policies to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors. You will serve as a subject matter expert and take a leadership role in preventing and controlling infections within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop infection control policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

• Conduct regular infection control risk assessments and implement preventative measures

• Monitor and investigate any potential outbreaks of infections and take necessary actions to contain them

• Participate in the development of emergency preparedness plans and train staff on infection control protocols

• Collaborate with other departments to develop infection control strategies for specific patient populations

• Stay updated on current infection control trends, guidelines, and best practices

• Maintain accurate records of all infection control activities and report any findings to the appropriate authorities

• Conduct training and education sessions for staff and healthcare providers on infection control policies, procedures, and best practices

• Act as a resource for staff, patients, and community members on infection control matters

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, or related field

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in infection control management in a healthcare setting

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to infection control

• Strong understanding of infection control principles and practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to analyze and interpret data related to infection control

• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred

• Experience in training and educating staff on infection control policies and procedures
