Imports and Exports Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Imports and Exports Specialist to manage international shipments, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and optimize the supply chain process. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of import/export procedures, documentation, and trade regulations in the UAE.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage international shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
• Handle import/export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and international trade laws, customs regulations, and tariff classifications.
• Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners to facilitate smooth shipping operations.
• Monitor shipment status, track deliveries, and resolve any transportation or clearance issues.
• Optimize shipping routes, costs, and logistics strategies to improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions and ensure proper filing.
• Stay updated on changes in trade policies, tariffs, and customs procedures.
• Support internal departments with import/export-related inquiries and documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in import/export operations, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong understanding of UAE customs regulations, free zones, and international trade laws.
• Experience in handling shipping documents, customs clearance, and freight negotiations.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
