Import and Export Manager

As an Import and Export Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the movement of goods between countries. Your duties will include managing import and export processes, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers and customers, and optimizing supply chain efficiency. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as customs agents, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, you will analyze market trends, develop strategies to expand global trade opportunities, and resolve any logistical issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of global trade practices, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in import/export management.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the import and export operations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Developing and implementing import and export strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth and timely shipment of goods.
• Negotiating contracts and handling price quotations for import and export transactions.
• Coordinating logistics, including transportation and warehousing, to support import and export activities.
• Monitoring and analyzing market trends to identify opportunities for expanding import and export activities.
• Ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping for all import and export transactions.
• Resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise during import and export processes.
• Keeping abreast of changes in import and export regulations and adapting processes accordingly.
• Leading a team of import/export specialists and providing guidance and support as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Strong understanding of Import and Export regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for managing import and export processes.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics or international trade industry.
