HVAC Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented HVAC Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing HVAC systems for various projects. Key responsibilities include conducting load calculations, selecting equipment, creating system layouts, and preparing detailed engineering drawings. The HVAC Design Engineer will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure that designs meet project requirements and industry standards. Additionally, the successful candidate will support commissioning activities, troubleshoot system issues, and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with strong knowledge of HVAC systems and design software. Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC system design concepts based on project requirements and specifications.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations to determine equipment sizing.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, pumps, and other components.
• Create detailed HVAC system layouts and schematics using AutoCAD or other design software.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure design solutions meet project needs and constraints.
• Review and analyze building codes and standards to ensure designs comply with regulations.
• Conduct energy modeling and life-cycle cost analysis to optimize the efficiency and performance of HVAC systems.
• Participate in site visits and field surveys to assess existing HVAC systems and identify potential improvements.
• Prepare technical specifications and documentation for bidding and construction purposes.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase to ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Professional certification in HVAC design (e.g. Certified HVAC Designer).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC system design and analysis.
