Job Description
The HSE Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategies and programs across the Middle East and Africa region. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership abilities. The HSE Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as senior management and field personnel, to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HSE strategies and programs across the Middle East and Africa region.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Provide advice and guidance on HSE matters to senior management and field personnel.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HSE-related concerns and issues.
- Conduct HSE audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs to enhance employee awareness and compliance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
- Stay up to date with HSE regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HSE manager or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
