Job Description

An HR Generalist is responsible for managing various Human Resources functions within an organization. They handle employee relations, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, and HR policies and procedures. The role requires strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. HR Generalists should be able to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and professionalism. They must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with employees and management.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, resume screening, and interviewing.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Participate in performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans.
  • Coordinate and deliver HR training programs to employees and management.
  • Maintain employee records and HR data in compliance with privacy laws.
  • Stay updated on HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR roles, preferably as an HR generalist.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in using HRIS and other HR software.
  • Professional HR certification, such as PHR or SHRM-CP, is a plus.
