Job Description

The Hotel Cleanliness Expert is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness across all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. This role involves implementing cleaning protocols, training housekeeping staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards to enhance guest satisfaction.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement hotel cleanliness standards in all guest rooms, public areas, and service areas.

  • Train and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure proper cleaning techniques and hygiene practices.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas that need improvement and take corrective action.

  • Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule that ensures timely and efficient housekeeping operations.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including COVID-19 protocols.

  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities, and coordinate replenishment with suppliers.

  • Address guest concerns related to cleanliness and ensure prompt resolution.

  • Work closely with maintenance and front office teams to ensure seamless hotel operations.

  • Keep records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and guest feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend new cleaning techniques or equipment to enhance efficiency.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is a plus.

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or hospitality cleanliness management.

  • Strong leadership and training skills to guide housekeeping teams.

  • Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety protocols.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
